(NEWS10) -- A new Siena College Research Institute Poll was released on Tuesday, this time giving insight into the quality of life in New York and whether or not it's getting better or worse, as well as how fit Joe Biden and Donald Trump would be as the next elected president. VSP: Corinth woman shoplifted $2K in merchandise from Home Depot

RUTLAND TOWN, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A Corinth woman was arrested after being accused of stealing over $2,000 worth of merchandise from the Rutland Town Home Depot. Ashley Lynn Buckley, 29, is charged with grand larceny. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! On Monday, around 8:28 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a shoplifting report at the Rutland Town Home Depot. Police arrived and found the car described in the initial complaint in the parking lot. Police identified Buckley in the car and through an investigation found she stole over $2,000 worth of merchandise from the store. She was taken into custody and brought to the State Police Barracks in Rutland for processing. She was lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility on $500.00 bail.

Volunteers needed in Belleville, Illinois to plant flags along Marine's funeral route

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Volunteers are needed to help set up 1,000 flags along the funeral procession route for a fallen Marine from Belleville.Captain Elanor 'Ellie' Leabeau Cooke died piloting a helicopter during a training exercise in Australia last month. The cause is still under investigation. The flagman's mission is asking volunteers to meet at 200 West Harrison Street in Belleville at 4:00 p.m. Thursday. Cash bail system no longer available in Illinois starting today Visitation for the Marine takes place Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 'George Renner and Sons Funeral Home.' The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of St. Peters.On Sunday, volunteers will be needed again to remove the flags.

LOUIS - Native Americans whose ancestors' remains were unearthed in Illinois could soon receive a proper reburial.A new law would require human remains and sacred cultural objects unearthed in the past 200 years to be returned to the deceased's families. It also allows Native Americans to rebury their loved ones in Illinois rather than in states the U.S. government forced them to relocate to. Fields Foods closes remaining stores

LOUIS - All Fields Food grocery stores are officially closed, and theirs employees let go.According to FOX 2's partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the chain's flagship store in Lafayette Square and its downtown location closed Saturday with no notice. Three of their other stores also closed earlier this summer.
