Performers took the stage at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade on Monday for the final dress rehearsal ahead of this year’s Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. A moment of panic marked the start of a search for a stolen dog in Dorchester Sunday as owner JC Simcock said someone snatched his family’s 6-year-old Yorkshire Terrier from their backyard. Surveillance video shows someone seen walking down the street carrying the dog, named Tinky. Speaking on Monday, Simcock said the search was ongoing. “I can’t thank everyone enough for putting the word out,” he said. “Anything we can do to get as many ears and eyes on her missing.”Simcock said he let Tinky and the family’s other dog out into their fenced-in yard on Fowler Street on Sunday morning. The 31-year-old Stoughton woman who had been missing for a week has been found alive after she was “stuck in the mud for several days,” according to police.Emma Tetewsky was located alive in Borderland State Park by Easton police officers on Monday evening, Stoughton Police has reported.She had been found by hikers passing by, but the hikers couldn’t get to her on foot, police said. CHICAGO — One male is dead and another person is in the hospital after a shooting in the Brighton Park neighborhood early Monday evening.According to the Chicago Police Department, a male victim of unknown age was on the sidewalk in the 4700 block of South Western Avenue around 4:55 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up, and a person inside the vehicle opened fire on him.The male victim, who was shot in the shoulder and buttocks, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.According to the Chicago Fire Department, a second victim was taken from the scene with a cut injury to St. Anthony Hospital in good condition.
